Accessibility
Last reviewed May 30, 2026
Scripture Studios builds websites and software that aim to be usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology.
Our standard
Every client site I build targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This studio site targets the same standard. In practice that means:
- Semantic HTML and a logical heading order.
- Keyboard navigation everywhere a mouse works.
- Visible focus states on interactive elements.
- Color contrast checked against AA on body and UI text.
- Respect for the operating system's reduced-motion preference.
- Alternative text on meaningful images; decorative images marked as such.
- Form labels and clear error messaging on every input.
Known limitations
Accessibility is a moving target and parts of the site rely on third-party platforms (hosting, fonts, embedded widgets) that I don't fully control. If you hit a wall, please tell me — see the contact section below.
How I test
- Keyboard-only navigation passes on every shipped page.
- Automated checks with axe and Lighthouse in CI and before launch.
- Manual checks with screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA) on key flows.
